A Gradall is an excavator. What sets a Gradall rental in Alberta or anywhere else apart from conventional machines is the boom. The boom is similar to a human arm with wrist action, giving it the ability to move up, down, and side-to-side. The Gradall has continuous boom force through the entire dig cycle with a 220 or 360 degree tilt, allowing the machine to handle fine grading and sloping. There are various attachments for the boom that can be interchanged in minutes such as various sized buckets, hammer, tamper and tunnel buckets, but the main attraction is the superboom attachment, which extends the reach of the arm from 30 to 52 feet.
The Gradall’s unique design deems it capable to perform many tasks with ease such as ditching, plant maintenance, pipeline integrity digs and many other forms of excavation. The unique low-profile telescoping boom makes the Gradall ideal for work under trees, underneath overhead power lines, pipe racks, under bridges, in tunnels and around buildings where conventional excavators maybe be limited. As the name indicates, the Gradall is a very precise machine, which is perfect for finishing projects with finesse.
